Powerwolfは神や悪魔，狼男や吸血鬼，その他多様の宗教的な出来事などを曲に用いてはおりますが，何かを批判したり，片方だけを正統化することを目的としている訳ではありません。
と言い切りましたが，彼らの歌詞やインタビューからもそれは十分に伺い知ることができますね。（誤訳は大いにあるかとは思いますが･･･）

そしてこの曲も同様に，特定の事柄を非難しているのではない，とマシュー談。また，彼らが「ハレルヤ」を歌詞に初めて用いた曲なのだそうです。

曲のタイトルである“In Blood We Trust”は「捩っている」のだそうで，明言はされておりませんが“In God We Trust”（我々は神を信じる）が元ネタだと思われます(；´▽｀)

この言葉はアメリカの国家スローガンになっておりますが，信仰の自由の名の下にしばしば宗教的な意味合いの有無について議論になるのだそうです。

The History Of Heresyにて本人たちも語っておりますが，本作はIron Maidenへのリスペクト楽曲であり，そうなる運命だったとも。「俺たちはヘヴィー･メタルという名の不治の病に侵されている」というのはもちろんマシュー談です。毎度のように超絶意訳ですので，詳しくはThe History Of Heresyをご一読ください。

→七つの大罪から来ているのかも

変装
→サタンは光の使者となって，人間を騙そうとしたことがあるらしい

明言こそされておりませんが，おそらくFear Of The Darkへのリスペクトではないかと妄想しております。

実はSaturdayをどう訳すかについて足りない脳みそでずっと考えていたのですが，安息日のことかな～と無駄に深読みしていたものの，The History Of Heresyによるとそのまんま土曜日のことのようですね。この曲は，土曜の夜となるとディスコへ向かうような少年少女たちに「悪魔」の存在を警告した「エホバの証人」のビラからヒントを得たそうです。（マシュー談）

ちなみに，07年のファルクのインタビューによれば，土曜にロックコンサートへと出かける少女たちに取りつくサタンについて注意を促した宗教団体の広告を見て，「若い奴らは気をつけないと魂を悪魔の朝食にされるぞ」という曲を作ろうと思ったのだそうです。（ソースはこちら）

Powerwolfはアルバムの為に最初に作った楽曲を1曲目に持ってきているのだそうです。

→悪魔（もしくはサタンに従った人）が角や蹄，翼を持った姿で描かれることに由来するものかと考えています

2012年を最後にライブでは演奏されなくなってしまいましたが，この度のOut & Loudフェスティバルでは初代ドラマーのシュテファンを交えて，おおよそ2年ぶりに披露されました！

上から舞台下手側，上手側からの撮影となっています。撮影＆アップロードして下さった皆様，ありがとうございます。シュテファンのグローブは健在っと･･･ｵｯｹｰﾒﾓｯﾀ

結成メンバーの演奏が再び聴ける日が来るなんて･･･これは大号泣感動盤確定ですな。DVDの発売を所望する（金を掲げながら）

余談ですが，私は長らくこの曲を「真のメタルであるPowerwolfの為に金を落とせ」という歌だと思っていたのですが，The History Of Heresyによるとこの歌詞には「一部のバンドが，Tシャツなどのバンドグッズを非常に高い値段でファンに売りつけていることへの皮肉」が込められているそうです。

ようやく4曲目となりました歌詞の和訳はWe Drink Your Blood！この曲は彼らの初PVであると同時に，彼らの人気を爆発的に引き上げることになった作品でもあります。

ライブの定番にもなっているこの曲は，フェスティバルでもひと際大きな盛り上がりを見せています。曲の前にアッティラが“Do you know what we drink?”とファンに尋ね，“BLOOD!!!”と返すのがお決まりです。

3曲目の和訳はこちら，3枚目のアルバムBible of the BeastよりSt. Satan's Dayの歌詞に挑戦してみました。

よりクサさに磨きがかかった本作の中でも，格好よさとクサさを兼ね備え，「こういうのを待っていた」と思わせてくれる要素たっぷりです。

サタンを主題としているこの曲だけ，ブックレットの歌詞が逆さまに記載されるという気合の入れよう。素晴らしいです。初めて見たときは何か暗号が隠されているんじゃないかと思いました。
曲だけではなく，歌詞カードからも彼らの拘りを堪能することができる1曲です。

個人的なメモ
悪魔（サタン）がもたらしてきたとされるもの，または，サタンの別の名やその正体がサタンであるとされるものが歌われている。

your son
→クリスチャンが「神の子」であるのに対して，神を信仰しない者は「悪魔の子」または「サタンの子」とみなされる。

Abaddon
→アバドンとは「ヨハネの黙示録」に登場する奈落の王。堕天使の一人とも言われ，サタンと同一視されることもある。

Serpent
→サーペントとは蛇を意味し，主に毒蛇や大蛇を指す言葉として用いられる。エデンでイヴを誘惑し，禁断の実を食べさせた蛇もこの名前で呼ばれ，ヨハネの黙示録ではこの蛇をサタンと同一視している。

Baphomet
→バフォメットはキリスト教の悪魔の一人。黒ミサを司り，山羊の頭を持つ姿で描かれる。正体はサタンやサタナキア，レオナールといった魔族であるとされる。

1曲目の和訳から1か月ほど経ってしまいましたが，2曲目として2ndアルバムLupus DeiよりPrayer in the darkの歌詞を和訳してみました。

この曲はほとんどのセットリストに組み込まれているほど，ライブではおなじみの曲となっております。イントロの後にファルクがステージ前面に移動し，観客を盛り上げ，チャールズとマシューそれぞれに絡んでいくのがお決まりです。最近では2番の部分で，大きな旗を振って観客を煽っていく姿が見られます。

名曲揃いのPowerwolfの中でも，管理人一押しの神曲として贔屓してしまう，そんな1曲です。

記念すべき和訳１発目はやはりこの曲。
多くのメタルファンの心を鷲掴みにした，2013年発売のアルバムPreachers Of The Nightより，Amen & Attackの歌詞を和訳してみました。

静寂を引き裂くような重々しい三連符から始まり，続くAttilaの勇ましい歌声とコーラス隊によるラテン語歌唱が興奮へと誘っていく･･･Powerwolf屈指の名曲です。
